Our client are searching for an emergency vet to join their fantastic team. You will likely be a GP Vet who is seeking challenge and growth and the opportunity to work with likeminded peers in a supportive environment. You will have a keen interest in the mix of Emergency & Critical Care and GP shifts undertaken in a team environment which is focused on learning and enjoyment of your work. Working under the guidance of our ECC Specialist/Head of ECC and ECC Team Leader, your roster will enable you to work closely with their senior clinicians and visiting specialists and for you to further develop your skills and knowledge in a collegial environment built on respect and trust. As the Clinical Small Animal Teaching Hospital they are focused on providing excellence in clinical training for veterinary students in their well-appointed facility. It feels good to shape the next generation of veterinarians in a hands on capacity.

Their incredible ECC veterinary team deliver a high level of care for their patients in a positive team environment. These positions involve direct client and patient responsibility and high level treatment and care for their referral and intensive patients. Often on ECC night shifts, vets can feel isolated and unsupported, however in this role there will always be someone you are working with, or can call on.

They have carefully structured this role to roughly work 50/50 day and night shifts on a generous lifestyle roster which provides ample diversity and averages out as 6 shifts every 14 days. Recovery time is factored in and this leaves plenty of time for family, friends and exploring the great outdoors in this extraordinary part of Australia! Their team now comprises over 80 employees and they are proud to be able to offer their vets support from their leaders right through to support from veterinary interns, experienced and qualified veterinary nurses and animal nursing attendants; not to mention the extra help given by final year veterinary students.
