About the opportunity:
Are you passionate about SMSFs and looking for a rewarding career in accounting? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our SMSF accountant role.
We are looking for a SMSF Accountant to join a specialist team within our Business Advisory division. As part of the role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and tax returns for our SMSF clients and helping them meet their compliance obligations. You will also learn from our experienced managers who are committed to helping you to develop your skills and knowledge in this specialised area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare SMSF’s annual financial reports and tax returns
- Assist the SMSF trustees in meeting other compliance obligations such as activity statements, GST returns, and transfer balance account reporting.
- Preparing supporting source documents files sufficient for the SMSF’s audit process
- Liaising with the SMSF auditor during the audit process
- Contribute to maintaining key client relationships
About you:
- Business / commerce degree with Accounting Major
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage own workflow and appropriately prioritise tasks
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
