Mt Buller has more than 300 hectares of spectacular skiable terrain including more than 80kms of groomed trails. Our ski runs are groomed and maintained by a dedicated and experienced crew who pride themselves on delivering the best possible skiing and boarding conditions to our guests.
Buller Ski Lifts (BSL) operates a large fleet of snow grooming machines and this winter we are seeking experienced Groomer operators who understand the need to deliver a quality product to the guest in an efficient and safe manner. Groomers Must be hard working, self motivated and prepared to work night shift. Groomers Must be available from mid-June until late September. As a member of the Grooming Team you will be responsible for producing and maintaining a high quality snow product to provide our guests with the best possible mountain experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and groom snow runs throughout the resort
- Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Manage shaping, placement contouring and flattening of the snow surface under varying weather and snow conditions
- Manage and change the equipment attachments as appropriate to snow conditions and circumstances
We're looking for people with:
- Previous winter resort /outdoor work experience
- Previous heavy equipment or machinery operator experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous skiing/snowboarding experience (not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather extremes whilst still maintaining a friendly and positive disposition
- Willingness to perform shift work
- Understanding of effective snow management techniques
- Safety awareness
- Operators Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid current driver’s license
- Prior snow grooming experience optimal

- Snowsat snow depth system
- SMI and Techno Alpine Snowmaking systems
- SF220 & SF100 Snow Factories
