Job description

Established in 1882, Kincoppal-Rose Bay, School of the Sacred Heart is an Independent Catholic Day and Boarding School (ELC-12) located in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

We are now inviting applications for a Permanent full-time Social Media & Content Coordinator commencing ASAP. Be part of the diverse and friendly team of teachers and support staff at our iconic harbourside campus, where you will be engaged to join the School’s Marketing department, working as a key member of the broader Advancement function.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the successful applicant will be a specialist content creator with experience in social media marketing.  You will understand the power of storytelling through different mediums to achieve engagement. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter, increasing engagement
  • Create content for social media channels and marketing materials (written, images, graphics and videos)
  • Maintain a social media calendar for all channels
  • Develop and present reporting for all channels
  • Develop and deliver a regular community newsletter
  • Photography and videography of events and activities around the school
  • Manage multimedia content database

The ideal candidate:

  • Qualifications and/or relevant experience in marketing, communications, journalism, media or similar
  • Experience working in a social media, marketing or content creation role
  • Comfortable working with a CMS; WordPress highly regarded     
  • An eye for trends and areas of interest that capture specific audiences, with an underlying commercial acumen
  • Excellent videography and photographic skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Graphic Designer to edit videos etc. 
  • A confident and skilled verbal and written communicator with impeccable accuracy 
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Well-developed organisational and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • A demonstrated ability to engage with and develop positive relationships with a range of personalities at all levels of the organisation
  • Willing to be an active and visible member of our School Community.
