Full time, continuing opportunityLead and manage our China Social Media agency team, to initiate, curate and execute Social Media strategyBase Salary $95,860 - $103,341 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe Social Media Officer - International works closely with the Social Media team in the development and implementation of the University’s Social Media strategy and works collaboratively with Marketing and Communications colleagues and University stakeholders to ensure that content meets high standards and adheres to best practice and brand guidelines.The primary function is to support Marketing and Communications teams on paid and organic Social Media campaigns, particularly for international markets whilst staying across domestic activity. This support will include planning Social Media for target audiences, analysing target audiences and key messages to recommend the right channel mix, advising on appropriate specifications and best-practice guidelines for content production, optimising paid Social Media campaigns across multiple geographies and analysing performance of campaigns. This role also monitors, responds and reports on potential issues to manage reputational risk. Your key responsibilities will be to:collaborate with the Social Media team and agencies to develop, plan and update the Social Media strategy, with a focus on international audiences and language specific channels (e.g. WeChat, Little Red Book etc)lead and manage our China Social Media agency team, to initiate, curate and execute Social Media strategy variants for each social platform, manage budget, finance and content executions for Chinese Social Media channelsengage the agency or in-house teams to support on the content and creative development and content execution, with a sense of quality control and attention to detailprovide specific language expertise to colleagues on content opportunities for audiences in China. This may involve translation of existing content for audiences in China, or creation of bespoke content for these audiencesmanage daily moderation with the University’s Social Media community on central channels, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring engagement. Particularly across China Social Medias with the support of China media agencyprovide insights and deep understanding of international Social Media space. Lead and develop new channel launch strategies with reasonable analysis, research, and recommendations.About youtertiary qualifications - in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience in a large complex organisationhigh attention to detail as well as strong written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skillsunderstanding of project management approaches to technology and website projects, with experience using website content management systemsexperience writing and editing digital and Social Media content tailored to international audiences, with a particular focus on Chinaexperience in a similar role with an understanding of international Social Media platformsbi-lingual skills in conversational Mandarin would be highly regarded.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
