Social Work Casuals (Supervisors, Field Education Liaison Officers & Lecturers)

Casual Field Education Supervisors: Primary responsibilities include: To provide specialised support to students undertaking Field Education components of study; To support students with quality, value-added education, which fosters students' ability to integrate theory to practise critically reflect, understand and respond to diverse needs and situations, and to practise creatively; Monitors student professional development and academic performance throughout the placement. Selection Criteria To be successful in this role, applicants must address the selection criteria below and attach their response as a separate document in the application process. Qualifications and Professional Standing: Eligible for full membership of the AASW with a minimum two years full-time post-qualifying practice experience.  Essential: An understanding of current and emerging trends in Social Work and training.   Ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues from diverse cultural, religious, gender and socio-economic backgrounds.  A keen awareness of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and communities in various contexts, and support student learning and engagement with these diverse populations  Technological literacy and experience in developing online communication tools and previous experience in online education is desirable.  Evidence of a capacity to contribute to effective administration.  Casual Social Work Lecturers Primary responsibilities include: Lecturing in agreed subject areas and managing teaching and assessment of units being delivered in any semester; Organising materials for effective teaching and learning, planning, development and preparation of learning activities, learning resources, and materials for the units; Provision of quality higher education, including research and scholarship, within a supportive Christian environment; Provision of support to students across all aspects of their practicum placement and experience.
