Level A.5 - A.8 – $101,648 – $113,262 p.a. pro rata plus 17% super

  • Support our students and industry partners to deliver successful placement learning through effective Social Work supervision.
  • Provide professional weekly supervision to students on a one-to-one and group basis

About the Role
Join an innovative academic team, supporting our Master of Social Work field education program. As a Field Educator, you will provide essential supervision and mentorship to students, ensuring their successful placement learning and professional growth through one-on-one and group sessions, while collaborating with agency supervisors and contributing to student assessments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional Social Work supervision to students throughout their placement
  • Contributing to assessment reviews of student learning by participating in placement assessment visits and tasks related to student progression
  • Advising the Social Work Field Education team when difficulties arise for students and/or industry partners on placements and assisting with finding solutions.

Who We Are Looking For
You are a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to student engagement and learning, excellent stakeholder engagement abilities, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

You will also have:

  • A minimum of two years (FTE) post-qualifying Social Work professional practice experience.
  • A Social Work qualification that provides eligibility for membership of the AASW.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
