This role is only open for Adeldie based candidates or those who are willing to relocate to Adelaide.

About the role

We are seeking skilled and motivated Software Engineers with expertise in LabVIEW development to join our engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing that integrate with hardware systems to enable end-to-end automated manufacturing processes. You will be workig in the the robotics and welding applications used in wire arc additive manufacturing (metal) printing process.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop and implement software solutions in LabVIEW, ABB Rapid Code, C++ that integrate with hardware systems, enabling end to end automated manafacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including robotics and mechatronics engineers,
    to optimise our manufacturing processes through the development of innovative software
    applications and tools.
  • Perform debugging, testing, and validation to ensure high quality products.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical strategy and R&D.


Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in Software Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in LabVIEW development
  • Experience in ABB Rapid Code and C++ would be highly desirable
  • Experience in computational geometry is essential
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing best practice - especially around scalability,
    availability and performance.
  • Demonstrable experience of test-driven development alongside use of automated test
    frameworks, mocking/stubbing and JUnit
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
