About the role
We are offering a full-time position within our close-knit Development Team.
Reporting to the Product Delivery manager, the successful candidate will work within a larger Development team of about 20 people, made up of a Product Owner, UX/UI Designer, Business Analysts, Software Developers and Software Testers. We operate in an agile software development environment.
You will be working on a range of Web, Mobile, API and WinForms products across our ERP and Point of Sale platforms. Our Development team is broken down into small multi-functional teams, working on short duration projects as well as some epic months long projects.
You will be required to work at our Cremorne office from Monday to Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Independent testing of new features and corrections (manual testing)
- Maintain useful test data to support the testing process
- Take ownership of application quality
- Liaise with users, Business Analysts and Developers to develop test plans and strategies
- Participate in and add value to all aspects of our collaborative software development process, including:
- Project kick-offs and collaborative design sessions
- Daily stand-ups
- Showcases/presentations to the team, the wider business, and our customers
- Regular retrospective sessions
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with 2+ years or more experience in a similar manual testing role.
Other skills that will assist you in the role include:
- Basic understanding of SQL databases
- Prior retail POS or ERP experience (either as a tester or a user)
- Experience in the fashion industry
- Willingness to work across different areas of the system, in different technologies, and with different team members
- Willingness to work in an open team environment
- Exhibit an agile / growth mindset with the ability to adjust quickly to change
