Solicitor/Associate - Banking & Finance - Sydney

Our client is one of Australia's largest national law firms with a strong banking and financial services group nationally. 

The Banking and Financial Services Group 
 
This fully integrated national team covers everything from financial services and regulatory advice, to general banking and finance, funds management and superannuation advice. They have long-standing relationships with a number of the big four Australian banks as well as other Australian and international financial institutions.
 
The team acts for a variety of financial institutions across both domestic and cross-border finance transactions including acquisition and leveraged finance, property finance, securitisation, secured and unsecured transactions, debt capital markets and structured finance.

Position Description

The Sydney office of this national law firm is looking for a mid level lawyer to join their Banking & Financial Services group and focus on:

- Structured property finance
- Venture debt
- Joint ventures
- Structured finance deals
- Renewable energy financings (project finance for solar farms)

The work is mainly lender side however there is also some borrower side work from time to time.

This role will see you working across a key partner in the group as well as gaining exposure to the wider team that include five other partners. 
 
Requirements

The successful candidate will have between 3-5 years experience from another reputable banking and finance practice.

In addition you will have:

• Strong academic credentials;
• Strategic and critical thinking capabilities;
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written;
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships; and
• Ability to mentor and support juniors in the team.
