About the Position

The Solution and Integration Architect is a key role in the ICTteam and plays a vital role in ensuring that the City's digitaltransformation initiatives are relevant, aligned, and effective. The position is responsible for designing, developing andmaintaining the architecture of the City's business applicationsportfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals, operationaltechnology and market trends.

The Solution and Integration Architect also collaborates closelywith business leaders to understand their needs and requirements,and to identify opportunities where new technologies can drivevalue and efficiency. The position provides technical advice andoversight for technical projects and contributes to the strategicdirection of future investments in business applications.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Solution and Integration Architect willinclude but are not limited to:

  • Bring together expertise in technology, data and strategy,to align digital initiatives with business goals andoperational technology.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of future investmentsin business applications to promote a cohesive applicationarchitecture and maximise the return on the City’stechnology investment.
  • Act as the bridge between business strategy andtechnological possibilities and form a target state for digitaltransformation initiatives based on the stakeholders needs andrequirements.
  • Identify opportunities where new technologies can drivetransformation and innovation.
  • Assess the impact of changes in technology, businessstrategies, and market trends, ensuring that the architectureremains relevant and aligned with evolving needs.
  • Provide architectural oversight for development of new orupgraded software applications, systems and technologyinfrastructure and provide technical advice to project teamsand stakeholders;
  • Document and maintain existing and future architecture ofthe City’s business applications portfolio;

About You

  • Strong hands-on technical expertise across applications,data and infrastructure, in both on-prem and cloudenvironments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communicationskills
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate business needsinto appropriate solutions
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relatedfield
  • Certified Solutions Architect
  • Cloud Certified Solutions Architect
  • Certified in Cybersecurity
