AddressAbout the Role:
A leading educational organisation is on the lookout for a Solution Architect for a 24 month fixed term contract based from their head office in the Sydney CBD. The purpose for the role is to perform the necessary leadership, analysis and architecture tasks related to the development of integrated solution architectures. Their deliverables design technology solutions, and guide follow-on ICT teams, project business teams and vendors towards building and implementing project solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement conceptual architecture and detailed solution architectures for projects by utilising standard client building blocks
- Identify gaps between the current and target states, considering solution alternatives and participating in the development or target architectures plans to close the gaps between the current and target states, including consolidating and unifying range of applications, data and technologies
- Ensure that solution architecture align with ICT Principles and overall client Strategy and Goals.
- Analyse multiple solution options and recommend options that are fit-for-purpose and fit-for use. Present options and recommendation papers to ICT executives, CIO, business executives, project control boards and other University committees.
Key Skills:
- Exceptional knowledge in solution architecture across a wide range of technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, in a matter that is easily understood, authoritative, and actionable for the business
- Proven ability to apply TOGAF or other frameworks and visualisation tools to produce and communicate architecture to stakeholders.
- Extensive analytical skills and ability to address key architecture challenges effectively
