PaperCut is looking for a cloud-native product expert to optimise our new SaaS platform for global scaling whilst influencing the way our Engineering teams build, ship and maintain them.
Reporting to our Head of Engineering, you'll define tech strategies and roadmaps, design solutions and lead projects to ensure the performance, availability and security of our SaaS products during sustained exponential growth and at times of high load.

Some of the things you'll do...
You'll identify opportunities to optimise scalability of our cloud products, define a roadmap to get them to where they need to be and lead project teams to execute on this.
You'll join SaaS product teams to uplift practices, coding standards and tooling across IaC, site reliability, DevOps and platform engineering.
You'll contribute to Agile ceremonies whilst remaining agile in your approach to software product development practices and methodologies.
You'll build our capability as a division by reviewing code and coding standards, mentoring PaperCutters in and outside your team and participating in recruitment interviews.
What success looks like 6 months in...
You have a thorough understanding of PaperCut's company and product strategy and are validating a roadmap for how our SaaS product architecture needs to change in order to deliver on these.
You've made some quick wins across a couple of tactical optimisation projects, tackling problems with availability, performance and monitoring/observability.
You can set the pace in projects and oversee a team building solutions to satisfactory completion and take ownership of the software outcome.
You mentor other PaperCutters or enable the broader PaperCut ecosystem by facilitating and driving education on key knowledge areas.
