We are seeking an experienced sonographer to join the team at a full comprehensive imaging department at Westmead Private Hospital on a full-time permanent basis.

Located within the healthcare precinct in Western Sydney, I-MED Westmead Private Hospital has a new requirement for an experienced Sonographer with a minimal of 3 years postgraduate service to drive the delivery of high quality, accurate images and patient services. The position will predominantly be based at Westmead Private Hospital with travel to other I-MED locally based sites.

Key accountabilities include:

• Delivery of high quality, accurate and efficient ultrasound services

• Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service

• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers

• Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards

• Commitment to quality safety and risk management

• Commitment to training and development

Key selection criteria:

• Current relevant ASAR professional registration

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Medical Sonography

• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff

• Strong clinical focus to provide high quality, accurate medical imaging services to referrers and patients

• Minimum of 4-5 years postgraduate experience with General, MSK, Vascular, Breast, Obstetrics, Interventional and Paediatrics.

• Ability to do rotational on-call

• Experience using Canon Ultrasound equipment desirable

• Previous experience practicing sonography in a busy clinic or hospital environment
