Redland Hospital, Medical Imaging Department are looking for a Senior Sonographer to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver high level Ultrasound services, as a senior member of the Redland Hospital Medical Imaging (MI) team, to clients of QLD Health. The Sonographer Senior is able to make high level decisions regarding provision of service, human resource management, workflow efficiencies, procedural guidance, clinical report advice to Radiologists and should be able to step into the Ultrasound Team Leader role as required.

About the Role
- Exercises independent professional decision making to manage Radiographic, CT and Ultrasound clinical procedures and complex caseloads.
- Utilises evidence based practice to apply knowledge and skills, obtained through significant professional development activities, post graduate education that facilitate novel, complex, ultrasound practice.
- Provide patient and staff education, leadership within their expertise and act as a clinical resource, mentor, role model, and technical expert within the health care team environment.
- Provides professional leadership by initiating development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that enhance the delivery of MI services and being actively involved in quality assurance activities that support the continuum of care.
