Job description

Deliver Medical Imaging clinical services as a member of the multidisciplinary team at the Redcliffe Hospital, Metro North Hospital and Health Service to stakeholder/customers of Queensland Health.

About the role

Permanent and fixed term temporary full time or part  time  opportunities available.

  • Deliver Medical Imaging clinical services as a member of the multidisciplinary team at the Redcliffe Hospital, Metro North Hospital and Health Service to stakeholder/customers of Queensland Health.
  • Deliver high level ultrasound services and provide clinical expertise in interpreting the examination and providing a sonographer's worksheet, in both and emergency and departmental setting.
  • Participation as required in the provision of after hours and on call medical imaging services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Apply independent professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
  • Provide clinical practice supervision and education to students, Graduates, Work experience students and less experienced Medical Imaging practitioners to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within Medical Imaging.
  • Actively pursue professional development and learning opportunities to enable contribution to develop the knowledge base of the medical imaging service.
  • Provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery.
