  • Remuneration: $30.93 per hour + 11% super + allowances

Your part in our Lifeline team 

We are currently recruiting for the position of Sorter in our Cairns Warehouse on a Casual basis.

Should you accept the challenge, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Be available for a 7:00am start.
  • Sort and categorize the large volumes of clothing and Bric a Brac generously donated.
  • Picking and processing orders.
  • Working in a warehouse environment that can get very dusty, plus very cold in winter and very hot in summer.
  • Maintaining work stations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner, in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations, including moving stock and rubbish to allocated areas.
  • Ensuring all paperwork relevant to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis.
  • Working harmoniously with volunteers and other employees to promote a positive team environment.
  • Be reliable and able to work within a fast-paced environment while meeting required targets and demonstrate a commitment to participating in training, following directions and have the ability to work in a team under limited supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all matters relating to staff, customers, procedures and security.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by your supervisor within the scope of the position and abide by all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation as they apply to the position.
  • This role involves repetitive tasks such as lifting, carrying, standing and walking for long periods. Due to the physical nature of the role it is an inherent requirement that all applicants be able and willing to do all of the above tasks with no restriction.
