The restaurant has been operating for 4 years from within a heritage-listed building constructed way back in the mid-19th century. It still maintains many of the original features and has a comfortable dining room with a professional kitchen.
We are seeking a passionate and visionary Sous- Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our restaurant to new heights. As the Sous Chef at Angel’s House Restaurant, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, expertise, and leadership skills to deliver exceptional gastronomic delights to our guests.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and direct all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
• Create innovative and seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant's vision, using the finest and freshest ingredients available.
• Lead and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Train and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards in cooking techniques, safety protocols, and food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to optimize kitchen efficiency, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies, ensuring proper storage and minimizing wastage.
• Uphold impeccable hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Continuously stay updated with the latest culinary trends, techniques, and industry developments to bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Represent the restaurant in culinary events and promotions, building relationships with suppliers and customers.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end, fine dining establishment.
• Exceptional culinary skills and a creative flair for crafting unique and tantalizing dishes.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, inspiring and motivating the kitchen team.
• In-depth knowledge of various cuisines, culinary techniques, and food presentation.
• Proficiency in menu development, costing, and inventory management.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
