About this role:
This is a newly created position to join the Oncology Business unit team as a Hospital Sales specialist. Your role is a unique standalone position within the Therapeutic areas of Oncology. Your role will be located in Melbourne, Victoria, and will be an in-field position of around 90% travel covering this region and Queensland.
Your focus will primarily be on engaging a niche and small customer group and driving these high-quality relationships.

In this role, you will:
- Actively monitor and analyze market data and trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Identify key customers that treat patients within this therapeutic area
- Actively monitor market trends through personal contact with clients and suppliers and attendance at industry association meetings and seminars. Provide feedback to the Brand and Regional Sales Managers
- Identify, develop, and mobilize KEE’s to maximize appropriate use of Astellas products
- Champion excellence in customer experience and patient outcomes
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Experienced in specialist care (or equivalent) hospital sales
- Business Acumen Inc., deep insightful analyse, prioritise, plan, execute, and continuously improve
- Understanding of hospital management processes and protocols
- Demonstrated ability to engage small and niche customer groups
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Education:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or equivalent
Additional information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position

- Must be based in Victoria, Australia
- This position is field-based and will cover Victoria and Queensland regions and 60% travel is expected in line with your role.
