About the Role

We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Specialty Gases Laboratory Chemist based at our branch in Ingleburn. The role is full time and permanent.
  
Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• To ensure the quality of Gas Mixtures, and other products QC’d by the Lab are supplied to customers in accordance with the Company’s quality system.
• To ensure that the directives of the Specialty Gases Manager on issues of safety and operations are effectively implemented.
• Assist with forward planning for growth and continuous improvement.
• Train relevant staff in the production of Speciality Gases.
• QC Analysis of Ultra High Purity Gases and some Industrial Gases and Mixtures that the Industrial Fillers are unable to analyse.
• Ensure the correct and safe filling of Special Gas Mixtures by all staff members.
• Analysis of Special Gas Mixtures and associated calculations of uncertainty in accordance with Laboratory SOPs.
• Preparation of Certificates of Analysis in accordance with Laboratory SOPs.
• Checking Data & calculations performed by other Laboratory analysts.

Key Skills and Experience: 

• Bachelors Degree in Science or Applied Science or Engineering
• Previous experience working in a Lab
• Gas Chromatography & FTIR experience
• Previous extensive gas analysis experience is preferred.
