As a dedicated Speech Pathologist, you will work with a diverse range of clients and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional therapeutic support to individuals with various communication challenges, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health challenges, and Trauma.
You will play a vital role in providing assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy to clients of all ages to enhance their speech, language, and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality, evidence-based speech pathology services
- Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualised needs of our diverse range of clients
- Use your great communication skills to build rapport and excellent working relationships with clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals, to provide cohesive and integrated care
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and current registration
- Minimum 3 years experience, including working within the community and providing supports and services under the NDIS.
- Background in trauma will be highly regarded
- Have a current Working with Children Check (or prepared to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
