About the role
- We are looking for an enthusiastic independent Speech Therapist to join our team in a Permanent Part-Time capacity.
- This position will rotate through our different wards to provide experience in the acute surgical, orthopedic and medical caseloads as well as the inpatient Hyson Green Mental Health Unit.
- New Graduates are not encouraged to apply, experience is essential for this role.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing clinical assessment and treatment to inpatients
- Maintaining a high level of documentation and communication
- Participating in non-clinical duties including Quality Improvement activities
About you:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent qualification
- Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Clinical experience in a hospital setting or equivalent aged care setting with dysphagia experience and knowledge
- Commitment to ongoing continual professional development
- Effective written and verbal communication and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and as a sole clinician
- Demonstrated ability to apply quality improvement activities in the workplace
