The Role
Make a difference in our community!

This role provides short- and long-term strategic advice and infrastructure solutions to support our growing community and is directly involved in the planning and development of sport, leisure, and recreation infrastructure.

It also plays a pivotal role in positively influencing Council policy and infrastructure delivery priorities and works closely with community stakeholders, service owners, project development teams, and external partners to ensure Council’s facilities are planned to meet community needs.

About you
You are passionate about how sport, leisure and recreation infrastructure can contribute to vibrant, strong communities.

You work collaboratively, can build strength based partnerships and can explain complex matters to a diverse range of audiences.

You are experienced in providing evidence-based advice on sport, leisure and recreation matters and have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Sport/Leisure Planning, Project Management, Social Planning, Urban Planning, or a relevant discipline.
  • A high attention to detail and can prepare concise and clearly written documents and reports.
  • The ability to think strategically and identify a range of options and solutions to complex issues.
