About the Company
The Winston Hotel is a part of one of the leading family hospitality groups. The Winston offers a range of bars including a brand-new Sports Bar, busy bistro, large bottle shop and stylish new gaming room.
The Winston Hotel is looking for a hands-on Sports Bar Manager who has a background in hospitality management and has a passion for all things sport!
About You
- Do you have a valid RSA and RCG?
- Are you from a Hospitality background and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within management of a hotel and/or Sports Bar?
- Do you have full availability to work a rotating roster (days, nights, weekends)?
- Are you able to communicate effectively?
- Do have natural customer service skills?
- Are you someone who has great energy and immaculate presentation?
- Have you managed or supervised a team in a fast-paced hotel environment?
What You Will Need to Succeed
You will have a passion for sport and entertainment, as the Taffy’s Sports Bar offers an electric atmosphere to watch all major sporting events, both national and international. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to combine their love of sport and hospitality!
You are a ‘hands on’ individual who has a passion for maintaining positive client and customer relationships. You will have experience within a hotel environment and will show initiative to take on any duties that come your way by shifting priorities and being extremely flexible.
During opening hours, you will maintain a constant and visible presence in public areas of the hotel and ensure compliance with licensing laws, WHS and company policies and procedures. Ideally, you will have a strong bar focus with a proven track record in driving food and beverage revenue.
You will be responsible for opening and closing procedures (including liaising with Security), staff supervision, sport schedules, cash handling, till reconciliations, stock control and stock takes.
You must have a valid NSW RSA and RCG Certificate and knowledge of TAB & KENO. A knowledge of POS systems is also valuable for the role.
