Springs Plant Production Supervisor

There is now an exciting opportunity to join a market leading brand in Brisbane as a Production Supervisor in the Springs Plant.

The Role

The successful applicant will report to the Springs Plant Production Manager and be responsible for the daily supervision of the production area.  This will involve;

• Supervising a team of 30 production personnel.
• Ensuring all production deadlines are met via the effective allocation of resources.
• Ensuring the high standards of product quality is maintained.
• Ensure all WH&S obligations are met.
• Identifying the training and development needs of the team
• Ensuring 6S standards are followed.

The role will initially be on day work, however the successful applicant will be required to work Afternoon Shift.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will have; 

• Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• A Fitter or similar trade background is preferable.
• Strong coaching, problem solving and process improvement skills.
• Experience working within a Continuous Improvement environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage both work load and priorities.
• Sound knowledge and appreciation of WH&S.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Have a positive attitude towards production, safety, quality, 6S and housekeeping.
