As a pivotal member of the Leadership Team, you will lead the implementation of a strategy crafted to optimize the performance of a diverse array of assets. Your Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the development and delivery of Stormwater and Waterways Asset Management Plan.
- Be the subject matter expert on matters in relation to Drainage and Marine infrastructure planning and development works.
- Manage the strategic planning budget and provide timely, accurate and professional advice to the Executive Manager and Associate Director on issues relating to drainage and marine infrastructure planning.
- Coordinate the investigation, analysis, and provision of solutions, including concept definition and project evaluation on specific stormwater and waterways issues/projects.
- Review and advise on development condition recommendations to ensure that they are consistent with long term strategic objectives for the stormwater and waterways Programs.
- Provide information and advice on infrastructure matters during/for emergency planning /counter disaster situations.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) and eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia/ Professionals Australia.
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), or attainment of RPEQ within 9 months of appointment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of stormwater and Waterways Engineering and planning principles including knowledge of requirements of Australian Standards as they relate to drainage and foreshore infrastructure planning.
- Extensive knowledge of stormwater and flood model interpretation
- Leadership skills to guide and develop a high-performing team.
- Expertise in developing and optimizing asset management strategies.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for community engagement.
