We have an exciting position available in our Plasterboard division & are currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, motivated and experienced individual for our Storeman position at our Site located in Ravenhall, VIC. Minimum 5 years' experience in a Storeman operational position, operating a forklift is a must & experience within the Building/Plasterboard Industry is preferred but not essential. This position requires the right person to hit the ground running, ensuring that all facets of operations are implemented and maintained to a high standard in a high-pressure environment. This is an all-round position covering all things operations, forklift use, stock management & customer service. In depth training will be provided.
Reporting to the Operations Manager & working in a team environment and autonomously you will be responsible for the following:
Role Includes
Loading & Unloading material from vehicles- operating a forklift
- Packing customer orders
- Constant stock movement and maintaining stock management principles
- Ensuring high quality customer service is met
- Inventory maintenance, stock take and preparing orders for the full range of products
- Assisting with system integrity & Stock counts to ensure product accuracy
- Yard maintenance
- Occasional delivering of material to site
Skills Required:
- Excellent English & communication skills
- High customer service levels
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Storeman's position, operating a forklift
- Experience within the building industry preferred but not essential
- Proficient in Logistics, transport and Inventory
- Exceptional organisational & time management skills with the ability to manage multiple workloads
- Organised & self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Be responsible, use initiative & have the ability to work in a team or autonomously
- Current and Valid Australian Driver's License & Forklift License
- Ability to use computer systems
- Uphold an already strong safety culture
- Identify improvement opportunities
- Highly efficient problem solver
- Fit and conditioned for physical work
