Reporting to the GM of Technology and working on the Transformation Program, you will provide technical leadership, support, and control to ensure that quality standards are met and interdependencies between technical solutions are well understood.
You will work with project stakeholders to define a prioritised and coordinated technology delivery roadmap approach that considers the implications for business operations. You will mobilize resources internally and use technology partners to develop, roll-out, and effectively support new systems and capabilities.
The scope of your responsibilities will include:
- Software Engineering leadership supporting the implementation of multiple core, integrated systems.
- Ensure that technical deliverables meet organisational standards, security requirements, and scalability needs.

- Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving problems.
- Bring features and applications to reality by providing ideas, application design, and documentation, developing and displaying your software expertise.
- Implement best practices while making recommendations on the technology and software solutions used.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in Software Engineering and have previously provided leadership to software teams. You will have experience with Cloud platforms, including Salesforce and AWS (Azure is also considered). Bonus points if you have previously worked on a large digital transformation project.
Given Salesforce will be a key competent in the transformation program of work, experience within the Salesforce environment is a must-have for this role.
If you are not based in the Newcastle area, you are willing to spend significant time in the office during the initial stages, potentially moving to more remote at later stages of the project. The office is based in the Newcastle CBD and very close to the train line.
Given the leadership nature of this role, face-to-face time with the multiple teams you’ll be working with is highly advantageous.
