- Permanent Part-Time (20 hours per week).
- Classification: Staff Specialist Level 1 (Level election is optional)
- Remuneration: $262,376 - $323,777 p.a. dependent on years of experience, plus superannuation, salary packaging.
- Support and participate in research activities and quality management initiatives.
- Supervise and teach rotational provisional fellows, registrars and JMOs in the department.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Anaesthesia to improve service delivery and patient management.
- Provide clinical services for surgical patients requiring advanced pain management and other hospital patients who require the assistance of a consultant anaesthetist.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Fellowship of the Australia & New Zealand College of Anaesthetist
- Demonstrated capacity in efficient and effective patient management.
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
- Adaptability in use of medical IT applications e.g. electronic medical records & prescribing.
- Commitment to undergraduate and post graduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health.
- A Primary Medical Degree registrable by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
