The Facility:
This is a world class sub-regional hospital which services a catchment population of approximately 45,000. After a $65 million redevelopment completed in August 2015, the facility comprises 113 beds providing a comprehensive range of services including emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, urology, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, dental, chemotherapy and haemodialysis services.
The Position:
The Emergency Department manages in excess of 28,000 presentations per annum. Reporting to the Director of Emergency Medicine, the FACEM is responsible for:
- Providing high quality clinical care to emergency patients
- Ensuring patient flow is in line with National Emergency Access Targets (NEAT) and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Supervising Doctors in Training (DiTs)
- Supporting continual improvement of emergency services at ERH
This is a part-time - 0.5 FTE position.
