Stakeholder Manager - Local Government

The Role & Project

The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising of MACA, Acciona and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion Project. We are seeking to appoint a Stakeholder Manager - Local Government working out of our Collingwood project office primarily but visiting site/site offices as required. This position will manage the interface with all Alliance design, traffic and construction management and any other discipline that requires interface with Local Government.

This package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange, and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing the interface with all Alliance design, traffic and construction management and any other discipline that requires interface with Local Government
• Acting as an internal escalation point for any matters relating to Local Government issues
• Reporting of all key matters relating to Local Government interface
• Collaborating with the Local Government teams to support effective relationship management with the Alliance
• Coordinating completions activity planning with councils
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and delivery across the Alliance.

We are looking for:

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar, highly desirable
• Experienced in engineering design management/coordination across different disciplines highly desirable
• Experienced in working within Gov systems & process's
• Highly developed communication skills and able to foster effective business relationships to meet project requirements
