The P&C Business Partner strategically partners with the Head of Operations and key senior stakeholders to execute and deliver on people activity aligned to their Market by leveraging unique understanding of the supermarkets and broader retail business.Work collaboratively with the Centres of Excellence to brief and consult on the development of People solutions aligned to business needs. Partner with the business to ensure Talent & Performance management practices are embedded including coaching of senior leaders to deliver on our Great Place to work Strategy. Input into the development and oversee the execution of all cyclical & corporate P&C activities to ensure fit for purpose and effectively executed within Business Units.You'll also

  • Effective strategic business partnering with the Head of Operations and key senior stakeholders to execute the people plan and strategy aligned to the commercial needs of the business plan, manage and deliver the succession & development planning processes to support the talent pipeline.
  • Create and implement change management plans that analyse impact, gain team member commitment and minimise resistance and ensure strong communication and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Influence and educate key stakeholders around matters of diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead specific operations people initiatives to improve our team members experience
  • Coach and lead the business to deliver all People Metrics
  • Embed organisational change, capability and cultural initiatives through effective partnership and coaching
  • Actively promote cultural change and support new initiatives, as well as ensuring continuous improvement
  • Collaborating as part of a national HR Business Partnering team to share best practice, support one another and have fun!
About you and your skills
  • Proven P&C partnering skills and the ability to build credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Broad generalist experience with a specific focus on culture and engagement as well as leadership development and talent
  • Proven P&C generalist experience working in a shared services model
  • Ability to build capability in line managers through coaching and enabling them to ensure you can spend your time on strategic value add pieces for the business
  • Solid understanding of communication channels and stakeholder management
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and delivery skills
  • Able to navigate change in large organisations and work at all levels of the organisation
  • Prioritising execution alongside strategic thinking when planning
