Hours per fortnight

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Duties

Manage and coordinate strategic and intelligence led compliance activities and related programs necessary to ensure appropriate, efficient, high quality and timely compliance outcomes across Biosecurity Tasmania operations and legislation administered by Biosecurity Tasmania. The position ensures effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders to integrate diverse policies and frameworks, and provides authoritative advice to staff, management and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

  • The following checks are to be conducted:

    1. Conviction check in the following conviction areas:
    1. Crimes of violence
    2. Sex related offences
    3. Serious drug offences
    4. Crimes involving dishonesty
    5. Serious traffic offences
    6. Any other offences under the Biosecurity Act 2019, or related legislation
    1. Satisfactory security clearance as required by port authorities.
Desirable Requirements
  • Certificate IV Statutory Government Investigation and Enforcement or equivalent.
  • Diploma of Government Investigations or the the ability to successfully complete.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
