Jumbuck are a fourth generation Australian business with large scale sheep and cattle stations throughout Australia.
We are looking to appoint a permanent, full-time Station Hand on our Gunbar property, located some 50km to the south west of Hillston and about an hour’s drive from Griffith, in central NSW.
Gunbar covers over 60,000 hectares running at present around 50,000 head of Merino sheep along with a breeding program to provide Merino rams to our other Jumbuck sheep properties. In addition, we also run shorthorn cattle across the flat and mostly open country.
Working with a highly experienced manager, we are looking for someone who is confident outdoors, skilled with motorbikes and looking for a career in the pastoral industry.
Previous sheep and / or livestock experience is an advantage, but not necessary as you will have the opportunity to learn mustering, fencing, livestock, welding, repairs and maintenance along with water runs and animal husbandry.
Accommodation is available at the property in single person quarters. Due to its location, you will need to have a car to access as public transport does not run nearby. A competitive day rate in line with experience is available along with inclusion into Jumbuck’s staff bonus program. As a live-in position, accommodation, meals and utilities are covered.
This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team and property, applications now open!
