We are on the look out for an estimator to join our team!
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced estimator to be responsible for in-house Frame and Truss estimating.
The successful applicant will:
- Be responsible for accurate measurement take-offs from architectural plans using BlueBeam/PlanSwift or alike.
- Estimate based on provided rates but will also understand the construction methods that the rates are based on.
- Estimate a variety of projects including townhouse developments, schools, childcare, apartments, and fast food restaurants.
- Produce accurate cost estimates based on their take-offs.
- Professionally communicate their estimates to both managers and clients as required.
- Liaise with customers, engineers, and site supervisors to discuss job specifics as required.
- Report directly to management.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years experience as a Frame and Truss estimator OR residential building estimator.
- Knowledge of general construction processes, including roof truss and wall frame construction.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using computer applications to read and mark-up architectural plans.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.
