QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
You will have successfullycompleted the 3 years residential Secondary Teachers Education Programconducted by the Institute of Ismaili Studies, London in association with theSchool of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London and University College ofLondon. Experience with the Jamati system, either as a volunteer orprofessional, is highly desirable. Awareness of the provisions of theConstitution of Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims and prior exposure to the Jamatireligious education system would be an asset but not a prerequisite.
Youwill have:
· A doublepost graduate qualification awarded by the IIS, London.
· Aminimum of 2 years’ experience of teaching the curriculum.
· Familiarity with and empathy forthe cultural diversity within the community.
· Deep sense ofresponsibility, sound judgment and discretion.
· Good inter-personal skills indealing with youth, parents and other members of the community.
· Well-organized, self-motivated,able to multi-task, pays attention to detail, a “can do” attitude anda problem-solving mindset.
· A track record of deliveringprojects and results within deadlines. Sensitivity to budgetary prudence and anentrepreneurial approach in optimizing the use of resources.
