About the company:

My client is a leading retailer that features in most key centres across WA, SA, NSW and VIC with an offering for everyone with a rich history in SA dating back to the 60's.

They stock beautiful, sort-after items and work with some well-known luxury brands.

About your new role:

As a Stock Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of stock distribution to their vast network of retail stores. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute significantly to our continued success.

• Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability.
• Conduct regular stock audits and coordinate with the procurement team to timely reorder products to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to accurately track stock movements and provide real-time inventory reports.
• Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and logistics departments to forecast demand and adjust stock levels accordingly.
• Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to minimise losses due to theft, damage, or obsolescence.
• Liaise with retail store managers to address stock-related issues and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with the distribution centre to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to the retail stores.
• Analyse data to identify trends, forecast demand, and prepare reports for upper management.

Skills required:

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex processes and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise competing demands using strong organisational and time management skills
• Retail Background ideal
