AddressPyrenees Quarries is an established stone mason business, running for over 20 years. Our show room and office is situated 4km from Castlemaine CBD and we have a large selection of local stone products from our own quarries, and supplement this with different stone products from other Australian and International quarries. We produce many different products from paving to architectural products which are supplied for small domestic projects up to large commercial projects.
We currently have a full-time position available to assist in all areas of the business. This includes, but not limited to hand picking stone from the quarries, manually carving stone and the use of high-tech machinery to cut and shape stone. We are looking for someone that would like a career in the stone industry and for the right candidate, there will be ongoing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications and experience
- Forklift licence, but not essential
- Full training for this position is provided on site
Responsibilities
- Safely operate machinery
- Perform manual labour duties which include but not limited to sorting stone at our various quarries
- Assist in general labour duties, including cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team members
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co workers to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and sorting of heavy stone
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and adapt to varying weather conditions
