ABOUT THE POSITION
Astec Australia is looking for an experience Store Person who will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations, recieving and despatching goods from the Laverton North location. Whilst being the first point of call for all visitors.
Reporting to the Parts Supervisor, this role supports Astec Australia to ensure all logistics are completed and tracked efficiently. To perform monthly stocktakes & assist the Parts department (Brisbane) with efficient and professional support to its clients throughout Asutralia,
A highly autonomous role with continual support from head office, this role would suit a proactive and responsible warehouse professional who has career aspiriations to grow into a Parts interpreter with a global leader.
DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick/Pack parts for shipment
- Work closely with the Parts department to acheive efficient completion of customer orders
- Unpack goods received and store appropriatly
- Develop strong customer relationships.
- Maintain and improve the warehouse operations
- Move large equipment on site- as required
- Provide first point of contact for all site visitors
- Liaise with couriers and freight forwarding companies
- Perform stock taking responsibilites
- Perfrom forklift operation duties safetly
- Provide parts advice and support to customers
- Prepare customer and service sales quotations & estimates
- Maintain customer database and present sales forecasts to management team
- Liaise with all departments within Astec Australia
- Safetly perform manual handling tasks, complete work safe observations and JSA's
- Other duties as assigned by your Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Min 2 years within a similar environment
- Forklift licence- Essential
- Experience working in Quarrying, Mining or Mobile Plant Machinery industries would be desirable
- Previous experience of accounting software, Tencia- Highly advantageous
- Must be personable and able to build to fit into our High Performance Culture mindset
- Able to self-manage workload and perform to deadlines
- Proactive and able to use critical thinking
- Outstanding customer service skills,
- Ability to develop and maintain customer and vendor relationships
This is a full time role, Monday to Friday 8 am to 4pm.
Some domestic travel may also be required of this role with the initial induction & training to be completed in Brisbane.
