Department Overview As one of only a handful of companies that design and manufacture High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) radio communications systems for military and commercial organisation globally, Barrett Communications (a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions) are constantly innovating and solving the communications challenges our customers face in some of the most inhospitable locations around the world.
From our extensive Bibra Lake facility, in the Cockburn Commercial Park, the Stores Person will be part of the Supply Chain Team, manufacturing, testing, and repairing Barret products to export to our customers around the world.
Job Description
Position purpose
To coordinate the inward and internal stock movement and packing of finished goods whilst maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the store’s inventory records, company’s quality objectives and associated documentation.
Main tasks
Goods Inwards
Receive deliveries and ensure that correct package quantities are signed for.
Inspect incoming goods as per stores inspection procedure and check documentation to ensure that the goods received are as ordered.
Distribute goods as required – to assigned jobs or into stock.
In the absence of documentation, liaise with the purchasing officer to determine where goods came from, what they are and what they are for.
Isolate and report on all non-complying goods received – non conforming goods to be placed in quarantine and where necessary returned to the supplier for rework/replacement.
General Stores
Assist other employees to identify and locate inventory items.
Keep the store neat and tidy at all times.
Use the forklift to load/unload trucks and move stock around the warehouse.
Inventory Control
Maintain stock locations and consistently look to minimise stock footprint and consolidate stock.
Plan and implement inventory cyclic counts on an continual basis.
Compile and complete regular reporting as per MSI standards.
Control and maintain Quarantine area, record all transactions in and out of Quarantine with clear notations of why stock is being moved to Quarantine.
Raw Materials
Pick work orders as assigned by production manager.
Issue stock to each order as required.
Update shortage list with missing items from each order.
Check and issue shortages upon their arrival.
Data Processing
Process work orders, stock movements, stock receipts and returns, inspection counts and cycle counts.

Basic Requirements
High School Certificate
Current Forklift ticket
Minimum of 4 year experience in a store person role
Experience with an MRP/ERP system and processes
