St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John) is a self-funding charitable organisation. We are dedicated to helping the people of Northern Territory in sickness, distress, suffering and danger.  We provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government and deliver a range of first aid services including world class first aid training, first aid kits and medical services at events to enable public safety. 

We are currently seeking a full-time Store Person, this position is responsible for the ordering, handling, and delivery of stock to all departments within St John NT.

The Position

·         General warehouse duties, including loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift.

·         Assisting with inventory control, including use of inventory management software.

·         Receipt and dispatch of goods.

·         Safe delivery and collection of goods to various St John NT locations in the Greater Darwin area.

·         Maintaining the tidiness and safety of storage areas.

Our ideal candidate will have:

·         A current forklift licence - or able to obtain within 3 months.

·         At least 2 years of experience in a previous warehouse role.

·         Purchasing and inventory management experience.

·         The ability to multitask, with strong time management skills.

·         A good understanding of stock control and purchasing procedures.

·         Experience with office software applications including Excel and Outlook.

·         A willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

·         A full, clean driving licence.

Employment with St John NT is subject to a Criminal History Check, Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and must be compliant with the St John NT Immunisation Policy.

 Employment for this position is subject to successful completion of a Functional Capacity and Medical Examination.
