Grays has an opportunity available for an experienced Storeperson to join our motivated, friendly, customer focused and hardworking team in a permanent, full-time role. You’ll be working to receive, handle, locate and catalogue assets within a team that is safety focused and committed to working together and looking out for one another.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring deliveries are received, processed and stored in a safe and correct manner.
- Booking in assets using iPad or manual entry – ensuring descriptions and photographs are accurately captured.
- Maintaining accurate records and assisting with inventory and quality control.
- Labelling, putting away and transferring stock in line with established processes.
- Performing counts / stock takes as required.
- Operating Manual Handling Equipment, including forklifts.
- Taking a proactive role in ensuring the health and safety of our colleagues and customers.
Please note that this role does involve some heavy lifting.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A current forklift licence with operational experience (desirable but not essential).
- A positive, team and customer focused attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to help out with various ad hoc tasks as required.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with iPads, cameras, basic stock management system and who has a basic level of Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Experience in a commercial / industrial warehouse or yard will be highly valued.
