Storeperson / General Hand (Salary range $60,000 - $69,999 p.a)

The 4B Group www.go4b.com  has been manufacturing components for bulk materials handling systems globally for 136 years. Our group has manufacturing in the England & USA – we now have plans to build the team further in Australia as we enter an exciting new growth phase, by adding a very important resource to the business – with the current opportunity to join our team as an Storeperson / General Hand that is to be based at Acacia Ridge location.

The person that is successful in securing this role will provide warehouse duties that supports our national and international customer base. Additionally, there is an opportunity to new learn skills that is required for working with and fabricating various types of conveyor / elevator belting.  

The warehouse / General Hand responsibilities include;

• The receival of goods inwards for orders and stock, this will involve the unpacking of 20ft & 40ft containers using a container forklift.
•  Participating with goods outwards which will include the picking, packing and preparation of customer orders prior to dispatch. Which can include heavy rolls of belting and large pallets.
• Assist other staff with the maintaining of the inventory and the warehouse as required to maintain an efficient and safe workplace.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work environment at all times.
• The cutting, drilling and general preparation of elevator (conveyor) belting that is to supplied to customers as required. This involves the use of cutting and the use of automated equipment and this would suit someone who has experience working with power tool equipment.  

The candidate must be able to demonstrate and have had recent experience with the following;

• Dispatch of goods. (interstate & overseas consignments)
• Receiving of goods. (interstate & overseas consignments)
• General warehouse / store person duties. (Unloading of containers is required)
• Forklift operation. (Forklift ticket is required) of 4.5 tonne gas and 2.5 electric
• Basic computer literacy. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• The ability to carry out tasks in a timely manner and work to deadlines, whilst working within a small team.
• Be a good communicator and be willing to learn and follow instructions.
• Have had a recent background in warehouse storeperson duties at an industrial level and be familiar with using a windows-based ERP (Epicor) admin system and possess a sound and recent understanding warehouse procedures. Which includes using on-line freight forwarding booking systems.
• You should be able to use MS Outlook, Excel and Word at a basic level, and be able read basic drawings and accurately measure as required
• You must have full working rights in Australia.

This will start as a permanent full-time position after a 3-month trial period. Our hours are 8am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, although paid overtime may at be required occasionally.
