We currently have a vacancy available for a store person to join a growing and supportive warehousing team at our Laverton, VIC site.
What you'll be doing- Accurately pick orders and receive products in line with DGL’s Quality Management System (QMS) and customer requirements.
- Ensure products are stored in appropriate locations and in accordance with segregation requirements.
- Accurately and correctly record/report all damages in accordance with Company procedures.
- Complete all documentation accurately and in accordance with the required timeframes.
- Operate a forklift and other equipment in accordance with legislative and Company requirements.
- Ensuring CHEP pallets are exchanged/transferred/recorded in a timely way.
- Conduct site/store inspections in relation to the scope of the role.
- Conduct safe loading/unloading of transport vehicles.
- Support the accurate placarding of vehicles in consultation with vehicles drivers.
- Adhere to container unpack requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all OH&S requirements and adhering to the company Occupational Health & Safety Policy
- Correctly using PPE where required and/or instructed by Supervisor/ Manager
- Adhering to and being active within the site Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
- Reporting any accidents, injuries and incidents, no matter how minor, to Supervisor/Manager immediately.
- Reporting hazards and participating in risk assessments where relevant
- Apply safe working practices and regulations complying with WHS legislation.
Here are some of the skills and experience you'll need for the role.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- A conscientious attitude towards safety in the workplace
- Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
- Be punctual, reliable, with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work unsupervised autonomously and within a team environment.
- Valid Forklift License with Counterbalance & Hi-Reach experience
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Proven experience and knowledge of Stock Control procedures
- Ability to utilise smart devices, RF systems in place.
- Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and applicable legislative requirements.
Knowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG) and/or Dangerous Goods Storage & Handling Regulations would be highly regarded as would experience in working with inventory/warehouse management systems.
