Job description

X-FORM is a proud, family-owned Australian design & manufacturing company providing comprehensive sheet metal contract fabrication and assembly services from a 1,400m² facility in the heart of Melbourne's thriving South East industrial area.

X-FORM is seeking a confident and experienced Storeperson / Logistics Coordinator to manage processes associated with incoming and outgoing goods. This is an important role that will also involve participation in production, safety, quality control and continuous improvement activities within the business.

The key focus at X-FORM is to produce the highest quality products on time, every time in a safe and team focused environment. As the Storeperson / Logistics Coordinator your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe and smooth transition of incoming and outgoing manufactured items 
  • Quality control - Inspect manufactured received/delivered goods against associated paperwork and internal recording systems
  • Packing, wrapping, and labelling manufactured goods for dispatch in boxes and on pallets
  • Assisting the co-ordination of pick-ups and deliveries using X-FORM owned vehicles and external courier services
  • Picking and preparing parts and hardware for factory projects.
  • Assisting to order and maintain stock levels for consumable items and hardware
  • Liaising with external service providers (such as powder coaters) to coordinate efficient delivery and collection schedules
  • Participating in regular production meetings and maintaining Factory and Logistics reports for the benefit of the Operations team.
  • Use of hand powered tools when required
  • On occasion work in the factory to assist with production in work areas appropriate to your experience and training
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.

About You

  • You have 5 years + in a similar role (desirable).
  • You are a hard-working, practical person that takes pride in maintaining a neat, ordered work area.
  • Current forklift license and Australian Drivers Licence (manual).
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to read drawings, BOMS, spreadsheets etc (desirable).
  • Computer literacy.

The hours required for the role is;

Monday to Thursday 7am – 3.30pm.

Friday 7am – 1.30pm.
