Ventia are currently seeking to employ a Storeperson in a full-time permanent capacity to join our Procurement Team, based at our Belmont warehouse.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic candidate to be part of a dynamic team.
As the assigned Storeperson, you will be responsible for various tasks associated with managing and organizing inventory in the warehouse. Receiving, inspecting of all incoming goods, storing items in designated locations, picking and packing orders,
maintaining inventory records and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse are some of the key focus areas of the role.

Key duties & responsibilities:
- Assist in the effective running, streamlining and safeguarding of all operations of the warehouse
- Load and unload all incoming and outgoing freight with forklift
- Receiving incoming equipment and validate against receipt note/invoice
- Clearly label the reference purchase order number on all sorted stock on shelving
- Ensure products are accurately labelled with relevant information such as product code, descriptions and expiration dates if applicable
- Dispatch works which includes collecting of daily picking list
- Identify and label dangerous goods appropriately such as flammable, toxic, corrosive or otherwise pose a risk to health, safety or the environment
- Ensure freight delivery bins are packed appropriately for transport
- Enclose all associated dispatch paperwork in freight bins with goods prior to sealing
- Issue uniforms to employees after receiving correct paperwork
- Energetic and quick learner with a great attitude!
- Experience in warehouse or logistics work (preferably in drilling or minning but not critical)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Hold a Forklift Ticket
- Hold a C Class drivers licence
- Ability to pass Medicals (inc drug and alcohol screen)
- Proactive approach and a strong work ethic
- Be a strong team player with a focus on customer service
- Computer literacy
