We are seeking a dedicated Storeroom Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing the storeroom, ensuring that inventory is accurately maintained and readily available for distribution. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our service department, ensuring that technicians have the necessary parts and consumables to meet customer needs efficiently.
Full training will be provided with ongoing team support. Our ideal candidate will be confident, switched on, helpful with excellent customer service skills.
We offer a modern workplace, centrally located in Bundall with onsite parking. Our office teams are friendly and supportive.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of stock and supplies. Ensure that all items are stored correctly, and inventory levels are maintained accurately.
- Stock Control: Perform regular stocktakes and audits to ensure inventory accuracy. Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare and pack orders for dispatch to customers and technicians. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of stock to the appropriate departments.
- Storeroom Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment. Implement and follow best practices for inventory storage and handling.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all stock movements and transactions. Update inventory management systems as required.
- Support Functions: Assist with other administrative and support tasks as needed to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of company facilities. Coordinate with service providers for repairs and regular maintenance activities.
- Fleet Management: Manage company vehicles, including scheduling regular maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience: Previous experience in a storeroom, warehouse, or inventory management role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Organised and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Confident and positive/friendly disposition
- Team player with a flexible approach and can-do attitude
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and stock management.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
