This role will oversee all aspects of Warehouse/Store operations, including staff development and performance management, while also identifying opportunities for process and system enhancements. This is a unique opportunity working 9-day fortnight (DIDO), travel across multiple sites and engagement with a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team, ensuring safe practices and fostering teamwork, improvement, and cost reduction.
- Organise daily team activities and supervise the receipt, issuance, and storage of materials.
- Ensure legal compliance, proper labelling, and coordination of raw material supplies.
- Plan MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies and contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Optimise facility use for materials, ensuring prompt delivery, efficient issuing, and maintaining quality assurance of parts.
- Foster strong communication across departments, provide coaching, and oversee training.
- Complete SAP transactions and reports.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree or Certificate in Supply Chain, Warehouse, or Logistics preferred, or extensive experience in Warehouse & Stores management. (desirable)
- 5+ years' experience as a Warehouse & Stores Supervisor leading teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in mining, industrial, or manufacturing (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge of procurement, logistics, and related legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
