Strategic Data Analyst

Our Client is a leading Australian brand with products spanning grocery, pharmacy, and healthcare channels.  Founded 30 years ago by a reputable industry professional, the business has grown to export to over 25 countries with warehouses in 3 continents with products in over 8,000 store fronts in Australia. 

Reporting to the National Business Manager and working in a close-knit and collaborative team, you will be responsible for:

• Budgeting and Forecasting by Retailer
• Scan sale spend analysis and tracking
• Monitoring competitor activity via sell through and scan data (monthly summary)
• Generating and analysising performance reports 
• Creating sales and trade spend trackers and providing tools to report performance against budget
• Looking for opportunities to enhance and improve reporting processes, identifying different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance
• Working closely with the marketing team to confer on best marketing activities for each product to deliver increased brand awareness and sales
• Working closely with the National Business Managers to prioritise suggested changes to each business segment and be involved and help prepare for range reviews and promotional programs
• Planogram/spacing ROI

To be considered for this position you will you will have ideally worked in a similar role within FMCG however industry experience in other sectors where you have developed proven skills in analysing data to generate business insights will be considered.

Standard hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm and please note this is a full-time office-based position (North Shore/Northern Beaches location).  The position will be to start ASAP for handover and whilst it is maternity leave contract there is always the possibility of longer term employment as the business continues to grow and expand.

A competitive salary package will be negotiated commensurate with experience.
