Hays are proud to partner with Tasmanian Botanics in the search for a Strategic Initiatives Manager to join their established team. Located north of Hobart, they produce and manufacture a range of medicinal cannabis for the pharmaceutical industry. In operation since 2017, they have recently commissioned additional production facilities, are a growing company and have the opportunity for someone to join their team in an integral management role.
Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, this is a newly created position where you’ll be responsible for the transformational projects being carried out by the business. You’ll be empowered to oversee the implementation of highly strategic work which will involve planning, creativity, collaboration, leadership and project management. This position will work closely with the CEO but ultimately be autonomous, responsible for managing the execution of initiatives and communicating progress and key information to the leadership team.
Utilise your creativity in this exciting and rewarding position that has combination of problem-solving, project management, stakeholder engagement and leadership. You will have responsibility for:
- Owning the outcomes of Strategic Initiatives – identifying roadblocks & finding a path forward when they appear
- Accountability to ensure business outcomes and timelines are met by responsible parties
- Leading working groups
- Creation of regular processes to ensure visibility of key project timelines
- Identifying new business/process improvement opportunities
- Empowering leadership with regular management updates
What you'll need to succeed
You are a results-driven and strategic individual who has excellent attention to detail and a desire to take control! This position requires a combination of strategic ability, exceptional communication skills and a focus on business improvement. Must be comfortable working cross-functionally to achieve strategic business objectives.
To be considered for this role you will have experience in:
- Project management and ownership of project outcomes
- Relationship management / Business Development
- Continuous improvement and managing business workflows
- Problem-solving
- Working cross-functionally to achieve business objectives
- Reporting and analysis (Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills Required)
